First Aid At Work Training

I’ll be quieter than usual on social media and email for the next three days, as I’m enrolled on a training course covering first aid at work. As a freelance commercial photographer, I of course have professional indemnity and public liability insurance policies. But I don’t have training in what to do if there is an accident in or near an area where I am working. I’d be devastated if a client fell ill during a shoot and I didn’t know how best to help them. So I signed up for this course, which will give me peace of mind that I’m being as professional as possible in all areas of my business, and will let me give my clients another guarantee that working with me will always be the best experience possible.

Hopefully, I won’t need to use my training. But, as my car crash while shooting in Egypt last year demonstrates, you never know what can happen during a shoot. I want to make sure that, if a crisis situation ever happens to me again, I can do everything reasonably expected of a non-doctor to help resolve the situation.

Do you think photographers should learn first aid? Does it add value to the quality of the service they provide to clients? Here’s more detail about the quality of services offered by ST84Photography.
